Well, sorta.. it seems as though 9,000 people in Kansas City have discovered my latest in a series of fake commercials that I enjoy producing for my own shits and chuckles.

This one features KC’s venerable Metro North Mall, a 1.2 million square foot (or so) mall originally constructed in the 70s or 80s.

I shot this one with my friend Mike Bena with an HTC Evo 4G. Dig the rolling shutter and bland dynamic range!

Written in 2006 and revised a few times. Funny how six years go by nearly as fast as six beers.

Also starring an uncredited attendant named Ahmed who was nice enough to take a long enough #2 in the bathroom to let me sneak him into a re-take of the opening shot.

The shoot took place entirely on location at an Arco AM/PM station in Reno, NV.

Thanks to the station owner Al for letting us shoot there – I didn’t tell him in advance about the ski masks.

They're a colorful bunch.

Due to licensing restrictions, this film has been unavailable for viewing for the last six months… until now.

Ania is a funny, talented Polish hairstylist who drives a Honda S2000 with a manual transmission.
Savannah is a hopelessly helpless model with dry, lifeless hair.
This film documents Savannah’s transformation with some help from Ania.

"I was a hot mess."

I had the (dis)pleasure of shooting quite possibly the worst model of all time only a couple of months ago, and though I’m not lawfully able to provide photographic evidence of this event, I did manage to document the shooting process. Here is a sneak peek.
